Cole Woodland

Cole is an active performing musician and composer in Vancouver with a passion for sharing his love of music with anyone who wants to learn. Having obtained a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies-Performance/Composition from Capilano University, plus nearly 20 years of musical experience, Cole has steadily built his chops and would love to share the tricks of the trade! As both sideman and bandleader, he has had the opportunity to play a wide range of styles like soul, jazz, rock, funk, blues, West African music, reggae, fusion, pop, and more in venues from small clubs to festival stages.

Cole believes in treating each student as the individual that they are, and that music lessons should be fun and served with a sense of humour. In your lessons, you'll be learning the essentials of the instrument, music, and beyond while connecting it to music you love in a patient and encouraging atmosphere. Outside of music, Cole is a big fan of coffee, sci-fi, and watching the birds on his balcony.
