Maisa Lacerda

Maisa Lacerda is a Brazilian performer based in Vancouver, with over 20 years in the performing arts, holding a bachelor's degree in Performing Arts from the University of Brasilia. 

She began her artistic journey as a child in community theatre, discovering the joy of bringing characters to life. She has developed a deep passion for storytelling through music, and back in Brazil she trained in musical theatre clubs and community theatre productions. Her stage credits include characters such as Cosette (Les Misérables), Jeanne (Hair), and Jenna (Waitress), and she also took part in numerous other community musical theatre shows as an ensemble member and understudy. 

In Vancouver, she completed a Basic Musicianship Program and is currently studying in the Performing and Fine Arts Program, both at Douglas College. She continues to deepen her artistic and musical training while sharing her singing on her YouTube channel. She believes in the power of arts to inspire, move, and transform, and is passionate about creating joyful and expressive spaces through music and performance.
