Nolan Crooks

Nolan Crooks is a guitarist and improviser with over 15 years of experience playing rock, folk, metal, and jazz, among other genres. Since high school, he has been involved in the Vancouver music scene, playing gigs with various groups at venues such as Frankie's Jazz Club, The Fox, Apollo's on Commercial, Green Auto Body, and Red Gate Arts Society. Having graduated from Capilano University's Jazz Studies Program in 2026, he studied guitar and composition under renowned artists Bill Coon, Ron Samworth, Jill Townsend, André Lachance, and performed in the CapU "A Band," led by Brad Turner. As an educator, Nolan seeks to share his passion for songs, melodies, and improvising within an approachable and encouraging learning environment for any skill level.
